WHAT INSECTS DO RANGER READY REPELLENTS PROTECT AGAINST?

When properly applied to your skin, Ranger Ready Repellents provide 12-hour protection from ticks and mosquitos, and up to 8-hour protection from biting flies, gnats, chiggers, no-see-ums and sand flies.

DO RANGER READY REPELLENTS HAVE EXPIRATION DATES?

Ranger Ready Picaridin 20% Repellents are best used within 36 months of production. Best Use By dates are printed on each bottle. Ranger Ready Permethrin 0.5% Repellents and Ranger Ready Hand Sanitizer do not expire.

WHAT IS RANGER READY’S EXCHANGE AND RETURN POLICY?

Ranger Ready does not guarantee sales. All sales are final. Ranger Ready guarantees stores will receive product with 18 months, or greater, dating. In the rare case of a product defect, Ranger Ready will ship a replacement of the product free of charge. We exchange expiring product for sellable product, subject to availability. We do not exchange products that are more than 2 months past expiration. Customer must send the expiring product at their expense to 155 Woodward Ave, Unit 3, Norwalk, CT 06854. Ranger ready will replace sellable based on what we received, and will ship at Ranger Ready's expense, subject to availability.

WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BEING AN AUTHORIZED DEALER?

ARE RANGER READY REPELLENTS SAFE FOR CHILDREN?

Yes, both Picaridin and Permethrin are safe for children. When used as directed on the label, Picaridin is safe for use on adults and children over 1 year old. Permethrin is safe to use on children’s clothing and gear. We recommend wearing gloves when applying Permethrin. Permethrin is safe to touch once completely dried.

ARE RANGER READY REPELLENTS SAFE DURING PREGNANCY?

Yes, both Picaridin and Permethrin are safe to use during pregnancy. When used as directed on the label, Picaridin is safe for use on adults and safe to use during pregnancy. Permethrin is safe to use on clothing and gear, even while pregnant. We recommend wearing gloves when applying Permethrin. Permethrin is safe to touch once completely dried.

ARE RANGER READY REPELLENTS REGISTERED WITH THE EPA?

Yes. Ranger Ready Repellents were registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in January 2018. Ranger Ready Repellents maintains all required state registrations.

PICARIDIN 20% BODY-WORN REPELLENT

WHAT IS THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT IN RANGER READY PICARIDIN 20% REPELLENT?

The active ingredient in Ranger Ready Repellent’s body-worn repellent is Picaridin 20%. Picaridin is safer and at least as effective as DEET in repelling ticks and insects. Picaridin, developed by Bayer Pharmaceuticals in the 1980s, has been widely used for decades across Europe but has only been available in the U.S. since 2005. Picaridin repels mosquitos, ticks, biting flies, chiggers and other insects. Picaridin was made to resemble the natural compound piperine, which is found in the group of plants that are used to produce black pepper.

HOW DOES RANGER READY PICARIDIN 20% WORK?

Ranger Ready Picaridin 20% Repellents’ active ingredient Picaridin repels by blocking the insect’s ability to sense your skin as a food source. Ranger Ready Picaridin Repellents repel, but they do not kill insects.

WILL RANGER READY PICARIDIN 20% HARM MY CLOTHING OR GEAR?

No. Ranger Ready Repellents contain zero DEET, which is a “plasticizer” that damages rubber, plastics, leather, vinyl, rayon, spandex, elastic and auto paint. Ranger Ready Picaridin 20% Repellents are meant to be used on your skin, but will not cause any damage to your clothing, plastics, or synthetic materials.

WHAT DO RANGER READY PICARIDIN 20% REPELLENTS SMELL LIKE?

Ranger Ready Repellents are offered in three wearable scents:

  • Ranger Orange, featuring base notes of bergamot that create a protective scent of natural orange;
  • Amber, offering light notes of cedar that bring a natural outdoor scent to the forefront;
  • Night Sky, offering top notes of lavender and lemon complimented by notes of sandalwood for evening use.
  • Scent Zero, when teh best scent is none at all.;

SHOULD I COVER MY ENTIRE BODY WITH RANGER READY PICARIDIN 20% REPELLENT?

Yes. For maximum protection Ranger Ready may be applied to your entire body as directed on the label. It is particularly important to protect your legs, arms and neck areas from tick bites.

SHOULD I SPRAY RANGER READY PICARIDIN 20% REPELLENTS ON MY CLOTHING?

While Ranger Ready Repellents will not harm your clothing, plastics or any other synthetics, you should apply Ranger Ready Repellents on your skin as directed on the label.

DOES RANGER READY PICARIDIN 20% REPELLENT ABSORB INTO YOUR SKIN?

About 6% of Ranger Ready is absorbed into your skin. DEET absorbs at a rate of about 18%, hence why it takes DEET 30% to protect you from ticks and insects for 8 hours.

PERMETHRIN 0.5% CLOTHING-WORN REPELLENT

WHAT IS THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT IN RANGER READY PERMETHRIN 0.5% REPELLENT?

Ranger Ready clothing-worn repellent contain the active ingredient PERMETHRIN 0.5%. Permethrin is an insecticide in the pyrethroid family. Pyrethroids are synthetic chemicals that act like natural extracts from the chrysanthemum flower. It is a great odorless barrier of protection from mosquitos, ticks and other insects that carry vector-borne illnesses.

HOW DOES RANGER READY PERMETHRIN 0.5% WORK?

Ranger Ready PERMETHRIN 0.5% can affect insects if they eat it or touch it, by impacting their nervous system, causing muscle spasms, paralysis, and death. Permethrin is meant for use on clothing, tents, sleeping bags, dog beds, horse saddles, blankets and other fabrics.

CAN I WASH PERMETHRIN TREATED CLOTHING WITH MY OTHER CLOTHES?

No. You should wash repellent treated clothing separately from other clothing.

HOW LONG IS RANGER READY PERMETHRIN 0.5% EFFECTIVE?

When properly applied to clothing and other fabrics, Ranger Ready Clothing-Worn PERMETHRIN 0.5% Repellents last up to 40 days and 5 washings.

SHOULD I COVER MY ENTIRE BODY WITH RANGER READY PERMETHRIN 0.5% REPELLENT

Ranger Ready Permethrin 0.5% is meant for use on clothing and gear only and should not be applied on your body.

SHOULD I SPRAY RANGER READY PERMETHRIN 0.5% REPELLENTS ON MY CLOTHING?

Yes, Ranger Ready PERMETHRIN 0.5% Repellent should be applied directly to clothing. We recommend laying clothing flat on the ground and spraying front, back and under fabric folds while holding the sprayer 6 inches away.

80% ETHANOL ALCOHOL HAND SANITIZER

WHERE SHOULD HAND SANITIZER BE STORED?

Our Hand Sanitizer should be stored at room temperature and out of the reach of children. It should not be stored above 105°F (For example, it should not be stored in a vehicle during the summer months).

DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE HAND SANITIZER TO DRY ON MY SKIN?

Yes, rub hands together until it feels dry on your skin.

DOES RANGER READY HAND SANITIZER KILL 99.9% OF GERMS?

Yes, it contains 80% ethyl alcohol which is the FDA recommended formula for effective use.

IS RANGER READY REPELLENT AVAILABLE OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES?

Ranger Ready Repellents are made in small batches in South Norwalk, CT. Each lot number is unique and designed to be shelf stable for 3 years after manufacturing. The ‘best by date’ on each bottle indicates when to replace your Ranger Ready.
